For How Long?
How long is a feed?
A feed can be from 6 to 40 minutes and anything in between
It’s the quality of the sucking that will tell you how good the feed was
Ten minutes of long, slow sucks and swallowing is good
After the feed it’s a good idea to wind your baby and/or change him and offer your other breast

- After a big burp there may be more room for milk
- Changing him will wake him up a little if he is sleepy so you can get him to take a little more.
