Recognise the early signs that your baby is hungry.

- turning his head from side to side as if looking for the breast
- fussing
- bobbing his head
- crying
Don’t wait for him to cry. Crying is the final sign and your baby may have been giving you the cues for half an hour so he will very hungry and quite cross!
When you’re learning to breastfeed, start when baby is calm.
